DVD Marathon

Apart from my recent lack of interest in job hunting, I've been trying to suffocate myself with DVDs. Think Drumline, The Rock, Matchstick Men, The Inside Man, and Collateral Damage.

I love Friends With Money. It goes up top with Before Sunrise, Before Sunset, The Pianist and Beautiful Boxer. So emo. I loved all these movies. For once, a movie that has Jennifer Aniston in it doesn't do its hardsell based on her. The star was Catherine Keener. Relief.

Two Mondays ago, I was so in love with Prison Break, I gave up my sleep to finish the entire Season 2. Started at 8pm Monday night and finished Tuesday afternoon 2pm. That's 18 hours. Believe me when I say I'm addicted to something. Wentworth Miller for one. Then I had to skip ahead of the downloads and watch Season 3 last night without Episode 1. And Sara dies. In the most hideous way possible. Head chopped and put in a box, and Linc couldn't even bring himself to tell Michael. I had nightmares because she's dead. -_-||

I kept thinking 'Wah so kesian case. These two people who are so in love with each other. And so good looking at that' until I had nightmares. So weird. And bimbo. Ching eat shit. : S

I finally had the chance to finish Marley & Me. Or rather, finally grew up and decided to confront my fear of domestic animal deaths. Yah, so drama. I know. Before I grew into this fearless rat-hunter/murderer that you know, I used to cry when I watched my aunt poured boiling water on a rat stuck to a board of rat-trap goo. (And now, I poke their whiskers to make sure it sticks to the goo and they can't go scruffle scruffle and act cute.)

It turns out that Marley dies. How cliche. But it was put into the most emotional way. The most saddening. And I teared. Almighty Ching who would not show anyone her tears cried. For a dog. In a book. Which was about a real dog. I liked Chapter 6 ending most. When Jenny had the miscarriage, the 'I-can-bite-my-own-tail', party-wrecking, shoe-chewing Marley actually sat still on her lap, and let her cry on him. Two times I cried.

And John Grogan is a genius-cum-dog-lover.

Yes. So about DVDs. I also watched Saw 4 (or the crappy edition of it) on DVD, which SOB DVD seller on SS2 sold to me, after I asked a dozen times clearly saying 'I don't want cinema version'. I swear, I would put him out of business. Even if I only have 2 readers -_-|| Do not buy from that SOB. It's the one in front of the Chicken Wings seller on the opposite side of the road from KFC.

Can't wait for the DVD rip of Saw 4 to be out though. Broadband babe.
